The Red Bank Library free meditation class will consists of simple seated breathing techniques to begin the relaxation process. This will be followed by a deeper meditation called Yoga Nidra or Yogic sleep. Yogic sleep is a meditation and relaxation practice, where one is not quite awake and not quite asleep but will induce a state of total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Yoga Nidra consists of varying soothing guided imagery meditation scripts read by the instructor. In this class you will need a yoga mat and blanket, as the majority of the class will be done lying down in a quiet environment.
